Città Antiquaria, is a big commercial exhibition center also know as the CRAF (Centro Raccoglitori Antichità Fossano), was established in 1997 with the specific aim of bringing a considerable number of antiquarians under the same roof. It covers an area of about thirty thousands square meters and is built in a U-shape, cross the by a long gallery with 112 stands (each misuring about 100 m). The presence of a huge amount of materials ranging from antique furniture, paintings by various schools and artists, precious and refined china, to different types of stone, marble, wood and recuperated tools, craft items, second-hand items, etc. (from the different Italian regions, from Europe or from faraway exotic countries) in just one huge space, offers a very extensive, particular and sometimes rare, variety of choise. It isn't easy to find a structure like Città Antiquaria, which brings togheter so many pieces of furniture, paintings and curiosities and is considered by a number of sources to be the most important, specialized permanent antiques center in Italy.

The singular name 'Città Antiquaria' (which in English means 'Antiques City') identifies a group of man, ideas and crafted items (created in previous historical periods) concentrated within a particular urban area. The 'inhabitants' are linked by a common professional choise addressed to the antiques market in Italy. Like an old, fortified town, this 'city's' walls house interesting and precious items, exhibited for admiration, marketed and then sold.
